History:
The Brafferton Inn, built in 1786, is the cornerstone of Gettysburg's historic district and is its oldest continual residence. It is located at the center of town, just a half block east of Lincoln Square. Locally known as the Codori House, the Inn was transformed into a Bed and Breakfast 18 years ago and has continued to be shelter to its owners and a haven for travelers from around the world.   Website:  www.brafferton.com.

Investigation:

Robert arrived at the Brafferton Inn at 4:30 in the afternoon and checked in to the second floor Olde Master Bedroom, located in the oldest stone section of the house.  Robert met Hillary and Paul for dinner, followed by an investigation of the Gettysburg Battle Field.  The outdoor temperature was 23 degrees.  We returned to the Brafferton Inn and began our investigation on the second floor of the old stone house, with an EVP session in the Olde Master Bedroom at 10:50 pm.    The indoor temperature was 79 degrees.   Shortly after we began the session, we captured a whisper.   Our second session was conducted in the Battle Room at 10:58 pm, and in this session we captured a female moaning.   Our third session on the second floor was conducted in the Canopy Room at 11:05 pm, and nothing remarkable was noted.   Since nothing extraordinary happened on the second floor, we decided to move to the first floor living room at 11:10 pm.    As we were packing up our equipment on the second floor, we captured a female voice shrilling out a  high pitched "OW".  The living room seemed more active, and a few moving orbs were captured, along with an EVP that begins with "what".    We ended the investigation at 11:45 pm.  Hillary and Paul left for their hotel and Robert retired to the Olde Master Bedroom.   Robert had no unusual experiences during the night.

Conclusion:

The Brafferton Inn is a beautiful home, with knowledgeable and friendly owners Bill and Maggie Ward.   The Mixed Berry Apple Brown Betty  served at breakfast was exceptional, as was the hospitality.   Our results are inconclusive due to the limited duration of the investigation, but we did capture two moving orbs and some interesting EVPs during the hour that we conducted a preliminary investigation.

We would like to thank Bill and Maggie Ward for their hospitality and look forward to a full scale follow-up investigation at the Brafferton.
